Each employee gets the complete general German course from A1 to B2 as recorded video lessons, taught by a qualified teacher of German as a foreign language. Both Hueber coursebooks, "Schritte plus Neu", are included, and so is preparation for the telc and Goethe exams. An AI trainer for extra practice comes at no additional cost and is entirely optional. You buy codes, hand them out, and your employees take it from there.

No. Every lesson is recorded. In the videos, Marlene Fries teaches the whole coursebook and leaves nothing out: every explanation, every exercise. So people learn whenever their shift or schedule allows, and replay anything as often as they need. For active speaking practice, the optional AI trainer is there too.

The course runs without gaps from A1 to B2. The video lessons, both Hueber coursebooks and the built-in exam preparation cover everything needed to complete a level and sit the exam at telc or Goethe. How quickly someone gets there depends, as it always does, on how much they practise and where they start from.

It rarely comes to that. Twelve months is generous: in our experience, a level is comfortably done in two to three months. The course holds the complete path through a level, every explanation, every exercise, plus the exam preparation. If someone does need more time, write to us and we will extend their access for €20 net per employee, level and month. We cannot promise a pass, but nothing needed to reach the level is missing.

No. V‑IZ teaches general German from A1 to B2: the language people need at work, at the doctor’s and everywhere in between. The vocabulary of your particular trade follows naturally on the job, because once the foundations are solid, your employees pick up the terms they hear and use every day.

Completely. The heart of V‑IZ is the video course with a real German teacher, together with the two Hueber coursebooks. The AI trainer costs nothing extra and sits alongside all of that as a purely optional tool. Anyone who prefers to learn without AI simply ignores it and misses nothing.

All of them, from A1 to B2, each at €200 net per employee and level. B2 carries particular weight for professional recognition: in nursing, for example, many federal states require it.

That is when it pays off twice. For a settlement permit or citizenship, the state requires a language certificate anyway, usually B1. The classic route is an integration course with a fixed timetable stretching over many months, and that quickly collides with rotas and working hours. With V‑IZ, your employee learns alongside work, so the course costs you no working time. At the end they sit the same recognised telc or Goethe exam. For €200 net you settle a matter that would otherwise cost you absences, and your employee will remember who helped.

Yes, and it is one of the strongest arguments for V‑IZ. Future colleagues can begin learning at home, months before they get on a plane, so their German has a proper head start by their first day at work. The interface comes in more than 30 languages, so even complete beginners find their way around from the first click.

The price is €200 net per employee and level, both coursebooks included. Order in volume and the price drops in tiers, down to €150 per employee and level from 100 codes. A code does not expire before it is redeemed, so you decide when to hand them out, with no clock ticking on either side. Redemption starts the twelve months of access, and within that time each person works through the course at their own pace.

No. You buy the codes once and that is the end of it: no running costs, no automatic renewal, nothing to remember to cancel. Where personal data is processed, we provide a data processing agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR on request.

You order the codes you need and receive them with an invoice made out to your company, payable within 14 days. All prices are net, plus statutory VAT. There is no prepayment, so the order runs through your normal purchasing process without any workarounds.

Yes. Any code that has not been redeemed can be cancelled at any time. The one exception is the pair of digital codes for the Hueber coursebooks, which cannot be taken back once issued. If you do cancel, we deduct those two coursebooks at €46 gross and refund the rest.

No. Buy a single code if that is all you need, and add more as demand grows. The tiered volume discount applies as soon as you order in larger quantities.

The codes belong to your company, not to any one person. An unredeemed code can simply be passed to the next colleague, so a departure does not cost you a course.

Everything is hosted in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, so your data is processed in Germany. The one exception is the optional AI trainer, which draws on computing capacity from Google, exclusively within the EU. GDPR compliance documentation and the data processing agreement are available on request, and there is more detail on the security and data protection page.

No. Employees register themselves with a code, so no name lists ever change hands and there is no dashboard for you to look after. Proof of progress arrives in the form that actually counts: the recognised telc or Goethe certificate an employee earns after the exam.

Each person sits the real exam at a telc or Goethe exam centre, and the course prepares them for precisely that. Employees register and pay the fee directly at the exam centre, so it is not part of the V‑IZ price: depending on level and provider, it usually comes to between €130 and €200. Both telc and Goethe certificates are recognised throughout Germany.
