From a first visa to a German passport, each step asks for a certificate at a particular level. V‑IZ prepares learners for the recognised telc and Goethe exams. The exam itself is sat at an official exam centre.

Some residence titles ask for no more than A2.
Citizenship and settlement permit
B1 is the level most people need for permanent residence and a German passport.
Professional recognition
Many federal states require B2 before they will recognise a nursing qualification. The V‑IZ course runs exactly this far.
University studies
A degree at a German university takes C1, usually shown with TestDaF or the DSH. That sits beyond the V‑IZ course.
Requirements vary with the residence title and the federal state. If in doubt, ask the immigration office responsible for the case to confirm what applies.

The recorded lessons build steadily towards the exam format, and the optional AI trainer includes an exam simulation.

Register at an exam centre
Your employee signs up with a telc or Goethe exam centre in their city. Both certificates carry equal weight throughout Germany.

Sit the exam, collect the certificate
Your employee sits the exam at the centre and pays the fee there; it is not part of the V‑IZ price. The centre then issues the recognised certificate.
